Who we are

Erasmus Projects CC (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a specialist Information Technology partner for pharmaceutical manufacturers, based in Cape Town, South Africa. We operate this website and are the responsible party for the personal information described in this policy.

This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, how we handle it, and what rights you have. It is written to meet our obligations under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

Information we collect

We collect personal information in two ways:

  • Information you give us. When you complete the consultation form on this website we collect your name, company name, email address and contact number, together with the details you choose to provide about your manufacturing activity, the regulated systems involved, what your request relates to, its urgency, your preferred contact method and your message. Only name, company, email, contact number, request type and message are required.
  • Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider keeps standard web server logs, which typically record IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the date and time of the request. These are generated for security and operational purposes and we do not use them to build profiles of individual visitors.

How we use your information

We use the personal information you provide to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and correspond with you about it
  • Understand your environment well enough to give a useful answer
  • Prepare and discuss proposals for services you have asked about
  • Maintain our own business records of enquiries received
  • Keep this website secure and operating correctly

Our lawful basis

We process the information you submit through the form on the basis of your consent, given by choosing to submit it, and because processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract. Server logs are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure website.

You may withdraw consent at any time using the contact details below. Withdrawal does not affect processing that has already taken place.

Commercial and technical information you send us

Enquiries from manufacturing sites often include commercially sensitive detail about systems and vulnerabilities. We treat that information as confidential, share it only with people who need it to respond, and do not use it in marketing or case studies without your written agreement.

Please do not send credentials, network diagrams or detailed vulnerability information through the website form. If that detail is needed we will arrange a secure route for it.

Marketing

We do not send marketing newsletters or bulk email from this website, and we do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. If we ever wish to contact you for marketing purposes we will ask for your consent first and give you a straightforward way to opt out.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with parties that help us operate this website and respond to you:

  • Our hosting provider, which stores the website and its server logs.
  • Our email providers, including Resend, which delivers form submissions to us.
  • Google Fonts. This website loads typefaces from Google's font service, so your IP address is disclosed to Google when a page loads. We use it only to display the site correctly.
  • Google reCAPTCHA. The contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to block spam. It sends Google information about your device and how you use the page, including your IP address. Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
  • Professional advisers or authorities, where we are required to disclose information by law or to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.

Cross-border transfers

Some of these service providers may store or process information on servers outside South Africa. Where that happens we take reasonable steps to satisfy ourselves that the recipient is subject to laws, binding rules or contractual terms providing an adequate level of protection, as POPIA requires.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and to maintain a reasonable record of our business dealings, after which it is deleted. Where a contract results, records are retained for the periods required by applicable tax and company legislation. Server logs are retained for a short period by our hosting provider.

If you ask us to delete your information and we have no legal obligation or legitimate reason to keep it, we will do so.

How we protect it

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access and unlawful processing, including serving this website over an encrypted connection, restricting access to enquiry correspondence, and keeping the software behind the site up to date.

No method of transmitting information over the internet is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Cookies

This website does not set cookies for advertising, tracking or analytics, and we do not operate any advertising network on it. Your browser may cache files such as stylesheets, images and fonts so pages load faster on your next visit. You can clear or block this in your browser settings.

Your rights

Under POPIA you have the right to:

  • Ask whether we hold personal information about you, and request access to it
  • Request that we correct or update information that is inaccurate, irrelevant, misleading or out of date
  • Request that we delete or destroy information we are no longer entitled to keep
  • Object to our processing of your personal information on reasonable grounds
  • Withdraw any consent you have given us
  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator

Children

This website is directed at businesses and the people who work for them. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in how we operate or in the law. The current version is always published on this page, and the date at the top shows when it was last revised.
